"Tian di Xuan huang -- Bao Tianwei Huanghua Pear Furniture Art Exhibition" was opened in the enamel hall of the Treasure House Cultural Center on the 37th floor of Shanghai Center Building.
In the winter of 2006, Bao Tianwei discovered Huanghua pear logs weighing over a thousand years old and weighing about eight tons.From the craftsman's precious material heart, he carefully split the original material and made it into 23 pieces of furniture.While taking into account the artistic quality and practicality, it fully highlights the unique charm of the traditional Chinese wood carving technology and furniture culture.
It is understood that as Bao Tianwei's first personal exhibition, this art exhibition focuses on displaying more than 50 representative works of his more than 40 years of artistic career.From the three dimensions of "material", "shape" and "meaning", the beautiful beauty of Huanghua pear furniture and the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese furniture production technology are told. In addition, the personal collection "ssence of Wood Carving and Furniture", published by the Palace Museum Press for the mahogany industry, was also launched at the exhibition site, including a total of nearly 150 works / group and about 500 pictures, recording the concentrated research results of important works of artists.The exhibition will continue until August 22.
