For the entire first half of the year, European imports of tropical wood and wooden furniture in the first half of this year were worth $2.42 billion, up 29 percent from a year earlier. On wooden furniture, the value of eu wooden furniture imports from tropical countries rose 22 percent to $1.043 billion in the first half of this year. Tropical furniture, Vietnam and Indonesia were among the top export value growth growth by 24% to $444 million and 38% to $311 million, respectively. However, the increase in import value was not due to an increase in imports, and actual deliveries instead fell by 3% to 211,000 tonnes.
