In the sixth straight session after briefly cooling in the past few weeks, hitting $1,204.90 per 1,000 board foot, the highest level this month.David Russell, vice president of market intelligence at online broker tradestation, noted that timber is up 29% from $934.90,000 board feet in early February.He concluded that persistently higher U. S. wood prices were part of commodity movements, and attributed the rise in part to a recent dollar depreciation.
